Ebo's volume, but also the context in which the work is embedded. The idea for this book was prompted by a seminar on Newman, which the author attended in 2012, and its writing progressed through his personal involvement with the Christian community within the Fon people of the Abomey town in Benin, formerly the capital of the West African Kingdom of Dahomey.
